The name "Vanessa" can mean butterfly if you look at the Greek origins.-Rhyli ;)

Vanessa does not have Greek OriginsVanessa is a make up name (click Vanessa for more info). It was LATER used as a name for a genus of butterfliesLala

Thanks, Lala, for stating this. I have heard people say it had something to do with Greek butterflies or some obscure god or goddess, but I've never seen any real evidence for it.Andy ;—)

Also, if you like the symbolism of Butterfly, I grew up knowing a girl whose name was Butterfly and she was a great person, very artistic! Just use it, I would.
