Danae, sometimes with a couple of dots on the e to make it clear that it's a separate syllable ... it's pronounced DA-na-ee, so if your cousin uses it I really, really hope she doesn't go for DAN-yay! As for Daphne, it is used in French as it is in English as far as I know ... just taken directly from the ancient Greek.Click on the hyperlinks for more.
