Vigdis, I am sorry to hear about this sudden and drastic loss. This is undoubtedly hard on you and your family, but especially on your cousin's wife and daughter, who just lost a husband and a father. The pain and shock they must be going through right now must be unimagineable. :(
It seems like your cousin was in really deep pain. For him to think that there was no joy left for him in life, or that others (even his little girl) were better off without him (which is a thought process that I imagine must have played a part in why he chose to end his life), shows that he truly must have been far gone. I can only hope that he has finally found peace now, though I wish that he had been able to find peace in a different way, one that wouldn't take him away from his family.
I wish you and your family a lot of strength and support in these difficult times.
