I have no idea why but I don't like living in a place that hasn't been 'blessed.' Normally I do it myself - I burn sage in each room, to 'clear out' bad vibes and what-not, Alexander prefers a priest to do a walk-through. We're compromising on our new house - we'll have friends over to 'bless it' by just being there and celebrating, then probably have my dad do a walk-through blessing. (And I'll have burned sage well before any of this. It's so bizarre - it's just something I have to do now.)
