Occitan

Redirected from Provençal

Occitan is the Romance language spoken in southern France and parts of Spain and Italy. It is descended from Latin via the langue d'oc (see Old French for more information). Occitan is sometimes called Provençal, though this more accurately refers to the specific dialect spoken in the Provence region.
