My name is Clara. I've been picking out the names of my future children since as long as I can remember. I remember being in first grade and telling an older girl named Meredith how much I liked her name. I preferred the spelling Meiradyth. Although I still love the name, I saw the error of my ways and reverted to the proper spelling.
My taste isn't anything radical. I like shorter names. 3 syllables maximum. I'm not big on nicknames; I prefer given names that don't require a nickname.
