It's very plantation era cool. Adaline's dad is very rich and her suitors have lots of prospects. She writes in her diary every night and letters to her brother, Nathaniel, everyday. (He's fighting in the Civil War).

It sounds so graceful and pretty. Like a mix between Adelaide and Madeline.
