I completely disagree. People always leave comments about how a name is too long, too difficult to spell, or too difficult to pronounce, and yet these names have been used before, and people then were not troubled by them. I ask then, why should we be now?
This is quite a nice name, especially if one uses the ancient Greek pronunciation, IPA [ai'as], though in modern Greek it would probably sound something like [e'as]. I far prefer this to the English form Ajax, though I believe that associations with the cleaning product may be dying out.
I would definitely say that this name is still fit for use, and may even use it for one of my own sons.
