Albina is goddess of the dawn and protector of ill-fated lovers in Etruscan mythology with Turan, goddess of love and vitality.
This is close to the Romanian word "albină", which means "bee", and is pronounced with just a slight difference (the "ă" doesn't sound exactly like an "a"). Just a fun fact, I know that this word is not the name's origin.
From Wikipedia:Albina (ahl-BEE-nah) is a feminine Tatar, Italian, Polish, Galician, Kyrgyz ("girl who brings happiness").In Estonia, France, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Sweden March 1 is Albina’s Name day.
In Italian, the name Albina is commonly known to mean, "White Skinned".
