In the U.S. I have come across a few Aslans; a couple boys & a girl pronounced both AHZ-lahn or AZ-lən.
Hi I'm Turkish and Aslan is a male name only. Don't listen to the commentors below and name your daughter Aslan, that'd be like naming your son Zeynep.I don't understand why this was downvoted. All I said was to tell people that Aslan is not, in fact, a unisex name. Not every name has to be unisex.
Aslan is also used as a feminine name in various languages, including Turkic languages, pointed out by many user comments below. However, Aslan is more common for males. So, I think that the "Gender" of this name should be changed from "Masculine" to "Masculine & Feminine".Sources: https://www.names.org/n/aslan/about

Also Circassian; written as "Аслъан" in Adyghe (West Circassian) and "Аслъэн" in Kabardian (East Circassian). [noted -ed]
The name Aslan is also used in Georgia, where it is a bit uncommon. In Georgian, Aslan is written as: ასლან.
Aslan is also used in Chechnya (a traditionally Islamic country) as a first name for men. Since Chechnya is forced to follow the Russian naming system, it is also found as a middle name in the form of a patronymic, namely Aslanovich.A well-known bearer of this name is the late Aslan Maskhadov, a former president of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.
Aslan is a pretty common Turkish surname. In Turkey they wouldn't automatically think of Jesus Christ when hearing 'Aslan' as Turkey is a Muslim country and I don't think Narnia was a big thing there.Anyway, Aslan can also be spelt Arslan.
