When I was a student in a Japanese junior high school, there was a girl in my class with this name, Ayaka. She was always so kind to me and I always loved her positivity. I greatly appreciated how she taught me the class routine and how she would hang out with me during my free time. I really miss her and I think that whenever I hear this name I am reminded of my friend.
I really love this name. It's pretty exotic to American ears, which I like. It makes it unique. If I had twin girls, I'd name them Ayaka and Amaya.
This name sounds very exotic and delicate (at least to American ears). It's very pretty. I like it a lot. The flowery meaning doesn't detract either.
