Azucena

This name is actually from the Philippines and is pronounced just as it is spelled. This is my boyfriend's mother's name.

This is not a Filipino name but Spanish, and Arabic in origin, as said previously. It means lily and Susan or Susana share the same origin.

I am fairly certain that this is from the Arabic and is therefore a cognate of Hebrew "Shoshanah" and therefore of English "Susan."
