This is not used at all in the Arabic world. The word "blessing" in Arabic is "Barakah" and it is feminine. However, the name "Barakat" is used in Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon and Syria. "Barakat" means "blessings". Though it sounds feminine but it is given for males only.
