I was named Christopher in 1953 but my dad who is from Poland always calls me ChristOFFER. When I was a small child he would call me Binky, after Christopher Robin. I am now generally known as Chris but when my mum was alive anyone calling me Chris in her hearing would be told in no uncertain terms "his name is CHRISTOPHER!".
