Not as bad as other de- names I have heard.
I always liked the English pronunciation of the name Angelo, so to me, Deangelo sounds even better.
I don't prefer D'Angelo. Even though I'm familiar with names such as D'Shonda and D'Marcus, my first thought was that D'Angelo was pronounced like an Italian surname: d'-an-ji-lo instead of dee-an-ji-lo. At least with Deangelo there are no pronunciation problems. I'd rather not put an apostrophe in my child's name. What if it gets misprinted on paperwork? Without that apostrophe, She'Lucas will be mistaken for a guy named Shelucas or SheLucas. So I like this name, just the way it is. :)
I prefer D’Angelo.
I think D'Angelo is way better.
Unlike you other people, I actually like this one.
Not as bad as other 'de' prefix names I've heard, like Dequan and Deshawn.
Terrible, better as a surname, definitely not going on my list!
This is not a name, it's an Italian surname. I don't get this trend of tacking De to the beginning of names.
I swear I knew an Italian family with this last name. Anyway, it just doesn't jive as a first name.
That is likely because "De Angelo" (and it's variations) actually is an Italian surname. "Angelo," of course, means "Angel; Messenger," and "De" is basically a form of "Of."That aside-- the usage as a first name is incredibly tacky...
Another pathetic name with a prefix. At the same time, the name sounds a bit pretentious. This doesn't sound like the name of a successful or intelligent person, so I wouldn't recommend it.
