Comments for the name Elisabetta

Comments for ELISABETTA:

Pronounced Eh-lee-sah-beh-tah.
-- BornOnRoshHashanah  3/28/2008
Italian pronunciation:

Eyh-Lee-Zah-Beyht-Tah

"E" nears the pronunciation of "Hey" (when the "H" is excluded). Stress your "I" to "EE" for "Li." When an "S" is found sandwiched between two vowels it automatically makes a "Z." "A" is as always found in "Father." "E" equals, again, "Eyh." Be careful as to speak clearly both "TT"s, which you will find most easily accomplished by placing a bit of extra emphasis on the letter before ("E"), and continuing through until both "TT"s have finished. Round off with another "A", "Father." [noted -ed]
