Ehn-REE-keh (Spanish), ehn-REE-kay (English), AHN-REEK (French)
When me and my husband were dating we agreed we would name our first born son Enrique because Enrique Creel was the son of a man who founded an area known as Creelsboro in our home town. We frequented Creelsboro often as a dating couple and eventually married. We had a son and named him Enrique. Although we are not Spanish we loved the spelling of the name. We do however pronounce it En-rick. This has been confusing to some people. But the spelling of the name is so beautiful and the sound of both Enrique (original pronunciation) and Enrique (En-rick) our pronunciation is worth a little explanation to those who don't understand. We chose to pronounce it diffrently just for a little bit of originality.
