I always thought this was pronounced Ee-frame. Never-the-less, I still like it. It sounds very peaceful.
Hello! I spell my name with f, wich becomes efraim, and it is a more common speling.
I heard this on a British show and it sounded so cool the way they pronounced it, "EF-rum." I wish I met more little Ephraims in the US. Such a strong, historical name! My friends would probably think I'm weird for liking it.
I really like this name. It's not common, but definitely not too foreign-sounding (i.e. recognizable in an English-speaking atmosphere, since that's my first language).
The name sounds quite foreign, so I feel that it sounds a bit pretentious and out of place in English-speaking countries. It has a rather pompous sound to it too.
I love this name. It seems like a man with this name has a strong connection with nature and a sense of adventure.
I think the name is beautiful, but I've never actually found anyone else who's like it.
