Federico is a handsome and timeless name. However, I dislike its nicknames: Fede is common while Chicco is baby-ish (in my opinion).

A very common name in Italy, unfortunately the nickname as widespread is "Chicco", horrible!

My cousin's given name is 'Federico' but we've always called him 'Nico'. I think it's a cool name.
