My name is Florinda, I was born in 1973, my parents are from Portugal, and they gave me my grandmother's name. This name doesn't appear very often and is quite old, but I think you'll find some 'Florinda's in Goldoni, the Italian theatre writer, and in Stephen Sondheim's musicals.
