Very close to the Spanish word (Gordo) which means fat. 2/10.
Gordon's heart beats with the commanding grandeur of a mist-shrouded castle perched proudly upon an ancient hill, bagpipes blowing a regal melody in the background. Lowering like the gates of a formidable fortress, revealing a world steeped in military might, royal dignity and rugged handsomeness. The castle's stone walls rise defiantly against the fog, a testament to both strength and spaciousness. The greyish letters echo with the clang of armor and the resonance of marching footsteps over the Scottish hills. Gordon carries the weight of history and the enduring spirit of medieval nobility.
This name made me think of gourds. Now I associate it with Gordon Freeman from Half Life.
I immediately think of Gordon Ramsay and Gordon from Thomas the tank engine whenever I hear this name.
It's kinda overweight middle-aged man to me.
I honestly don't know why so many people dislike this name. I think it's very handsome and I love the nickname Gord or Gordy.
My only links with Gordon are G. Ramsay and the Spanish word 'gordo' (fat). Ramsay is not a problem but the adjective actually is.
I don't like this name. To me it is old-mannish, and nerdy. It also just sounds clunky and ugly. I feel mean saying this because I have a close relative (a great guy) with this name, but I just don't like it. Sorry to you Gordons out there.
Oh, the endless love I have for this name! It is so masculine, strong and COMPLETE!
Gordon makes me think of a badass guy with a goatee and square glasses who saves the Earth from 2 alien invasions happening at once.In other words, half life.
I kinda like this name, it's not very common and it's not too grown up for a little boy because you can call them Gord or Gordy/Gordie. I think if I have a son one day I might give him this name.
I love the name Gordon! It's handsome, strong and fantastic! =)
This name first makes me think of the stuck-up train in the Thomas the Tank Engine show, and then makes me think of a stuffy rich snob. I really can't imagine anyone but some upper-crust rich guy having this name.
The name Gordon was given to 194 baby boys born in the US in 2012.
Such a strong name. Love it!
I used to not think very much of this name. However, now I've gotten rather fond of the name, and may well consider it if I ever have any offspring later in life.
It's my boyfriend's name, and it suits him down to the ground. He's quirky, artistic and funny and I can't imagine him with a more common name like Tom or Kevin.
The name Gordon makes me think of friendly 40-something guys with beards for some reason.
My father's name. Very strong.
