I have a friend whose name is Janette, pronounced with the emphasis on the first syllable, like JA-nette. I think it's so pretty, straightforward and simple but elegant, too. I also like Janet, but I prefer Janette slightly more.

I have a friend named Janette. Sweetest person ever. She also goes by Jay, too, which I think is a cute diminutive of Janette. It's a very pretty name and I honestly prefer this version over Janet, but they're both pretty.
