Love this name, I've met about 4 girls in my life named Johnna, with different spellings. I love the name, I always imagine it belongs to a strong woman. I like the extra N in this spelling, it adds balance, because names should look as good as they sound.
I’m most likely choosing this name when I finally change it legally. I’ll be named after my dad, “John”, and “Johna” just doesn’t look right to me like “Johnna” does.I didn’t choose “Gianna” because I’d then have the same first name, last name initials as one of my sisters, which is what I want to avoid.
The double n doesn’t make Johna even better. How about Joan or Joanna?
I have the same problem like others that share the same name, which in my life, I've only came across one, so me and her make 2. It's not hard to write nor pronounce but; here we are talking about folks saying it wrong and adding an extra A. Whats up with that. Lol.
A little bit better than Johna.
My name is Johnna.
I don't see how it's a hard name to pronounce but nobody seems to be able to the first time they come across it. Except for people in the UK, I lived over there for 8 years and not once did anyone ever mispronounce it.
I don't share it with many people, so it's very unique. I love my name!
Hmmm the extra 'n' somehow makes it better than Johna.
John ha? This name sounds like the name of a loser who dresses like a Granny. It's okay to have feminine forms of names but John? Nope... too ugly! Plus John is already a boring name.
This name sounds nice, but it looks a bit artificial.
It's okay, but I prefer Gianna. It's pronounced the same, but unfortunately some people don't understand Italian pronunciation and say it gee-AH-na.
What other feminine forms of John are there?! Joan and Johanna? You don't need to be so mean, I think this name is actually pretty.
This has got to be the ugliest feminization of John. It sounds so forced.
My name is Johnna, and let me tell you, it is VERY true that people mess it up to no end. Going to Starbucks can drive me insane sometimes. And first days of school. Teachers are supposed to be smart, right? You'd think they could just pronounce a name right. Haha.
Pretty name, but I prefer Gianna.
My mother's name is Johnna, and it suits her. She used to think her name meant "beloved", but now, thanks to this site, she knows otherwise! However, many people pronounce her name as "Jo-Hanna", and it annoys her to no end.
One of my friends has this name and she loves it. She is a very strong and determined person and this unique name fits her well. As is the case for all names, it becomes annoying when it is misspelled or pronounced incorrectly.
