I think it's kinda pretty. Is it pronounced (Lie-lack).
In British English the word is most often pronounced /ˈlʌɪlək/ (LIE-lək) with a schwa sound. [noted -ed]
One issue that people could have with Lilac is that there is widespread regional variation in the pronunciation of the flowering bush (at least in the U.S., possibly elsewhere). In some regions the second syllable sounds like "lack" while in others it is "lock."
