Comments for the name Loviatar

Loviatar is described as "black in heart and visage." She was impregnated by the east wind and had nine sons, Pistos (consumption), Ähky (colic), Luuvalo (gout), Riisi (rickets), Paise (ulcer), Rupi (scab), Syöjä (cancer) and Rutto (plague). The ninth son was not named but is envy.
