Means tummy in Finnish.
The name is after the "Arabian Oryx" which is a type antelope and it resembles beauty. [noted -ed]
The Egyptian goddess of love Hathor was depicted as a cow; the Greek god Zeus mated with his lover in the form of a bull after she turned into a cow for the um, episode; and cows are sacred in Hinduism. Maybe a name meaning 'wild cow' is not so bad! Also, legends influence names, so perhaps the Arabic word for cow carries some of the older mythological connections.
The name Maha also comes from Persian origin and it means "moon like" or "resembling the moon".
I have been told that it means "Cow Eye", cow eyes being considered beautiful in Arab culture.
This name means 'great' in Sanskrit.
Actually, it's a wild gazelle, not a cow, and it means beauty.
WOW! Wild cow? I don't think so, yeah I think it's gazelle like Lilia said. =D
