Danish feminine form: Mikkeline. [noted -ed]
Mikkel is a common name here in Norway too, and also connected to foxes due to the song "Mikkel Rev".
The Danish often use this spelling too.
I think Finnish is the only Scandinavian language to use double K, it would be spelled Mickel at least in Sweden. Also, in Sweden this is for some reason connected to foxes.
