My name can carry on some very interesting conversations. I find it odd that common people can not pronounce the simplicity of Millicent. I usually tell people it's pronounced: Milli-Cent Like Milli-meter or Centi-Meter & the kicker is to tell people to "smile" saying Millicent to pronounce correctly. Of course I get Maleficent -- Or Angelina (Jolie) which I LOVE! Social media has allowed me to connect with other Millicent's... I find it fabulous to have such a different/uncommon name.
