The name comes from the last Prophet sent by Allah. His name was prophet Muhammad PBUH. He was born in Mecca and lived to be 63 years old. His first revelation was brought by the angel Gabriel and it continued. He had 9 wives and he made the incredible journey Hajj. It was the journey from Mecca to Medina. That is when the Muslim calender starts, the year of the Hijra. Prophet Muhammad PBUH died in Medina.
