Nalani Kanaka‘ole is a Hawaiian kumu hula at Hālau o Kekuhi. The daughter of Edith Kanakaʻole, she leads Hālau o Kekuhi along with her niece Huihui Kanahele-Mossman. In 1993, the sisters were jointly named National Heritage Fellows by the National Endowment for the Arts, which recognized them as "Hula Masters".
Nalani is the name of one of the killer whales at SeaWorld. She has the dubious distinction of being the first surviving inbred captive killer whale - her mother Katina is also her grandmother, and her father Taku (son of Katina and Tilikum) was also her brother.
