Natalee

I hate this spelling, And adding A -Lee spelling doesn't make it cuter or unique, but although I don't like it as much, how about Make nata A first name and Lee the middle name. And a lee suffix doesn't make it pretty or beautiful as well.

Adding a -lee doesn't make the spelling look "cuter". Natalie looks so pretty and classic, but Natalee looks so ugly and ditzy. It also reminds me of the word "natal".

Another pretty name ruined by Americans trying to be kreeatyv.

Actually, my name is spelt Natalee and I have never loved it better because it makes me feel unique and special. Even if there were going to be two Natalies or more in the same room I would always be the unique one because this spelling of Natalie is too common. Even though the uniqueness comes with a problem of people not being able to spell it I don't mind a few minutes or seconds of correction. That is my name and it is so cute that way. There is always room for a little change. Who said that the the spelling of Natalie was the correct one? What if another bunch of parents also changed it to Natalie from Natalee. I feel that why should I restrict myself to something because that's the way it has always been when I have the power to change it? I thank my parents for it. As long as I know my name has a beautiful meaning, I don't mind. :)

The name Natalee just sounds like your mother misspelled Natalie when you where born.

Either spell the name correctly as Natalie or simply don't use it at all.

The name is alright but the spelling of Natalee is incredibly bad and pathetic. No one in their right mind would use this name and change the spelling in any way.

Putting an 'ee' in a name looses the name's maturity. Natalie becomes Natalee, Emily becomes Emilee, Hailey becomes Hailee, etc. So many parents these days want to use these creative spellings to give originality to their children, but do they realize that their kids will often have to correct others?

I love my name. It gets a little annoying when someone misspells it, but I don't mind. It also gets annoying when there are two people in your class with the same name and the same last initial. Still, I would never change my name for the spelling or for any reason.

I really, really dislike the trend of sticking -ee onto the end of names to make them seem "cuter" or "more modern." It just makes me want to emphasise that whiny EE sound, like "Nat-a-LEEEEEEEEE." This spelling really doesn't age well or look professional.

So what if "Natalie" is popular? At least people know how to spell it; "Natalee" sounds sooooo infantile! For me, it's an insult to my grandmother and to anyone else who bears the name "Natalie".

Love the name, hate the spelling. N-A-T-A-L-I-E is much better.
