I think it's possible that this name is rooted in the ancient Hebrew word 'navah' (feminine) meaning 'pastures, meadows', used adjectively as 'lovely' by implication of satisfaction &, as a noun, 'home, dwelling place, habitation', a 'comely (ie - 'beautiful'), pleasant place', etc.; from the same root as 'naveh', a masculine noun &/or adjective meaning 'comely' (ie - 'beautiful'). Other meanings of 'naveh' include: 'abode of shepherd or flocks, (poetically) a habitation' [Isaiah 27:10; Exodus 15:13, Job 5:24 & 8:6, etc.]; also meaning 'meadow' [Hosea 9:13]; 'habitation' poetically, as a place in the country'(countryside?) [Job 5:3 & 8:6, Proverbs 21:20; as a sanctuary in Exodus 15:13, etc.]. A variant form of the name that I really like is 'Linweh'.
