When I first saw this, thought it was a "youneek" version of Nanette.
The French version of the number 9.
Cute, and sweet-sounding, but the name seems kinda small to me. Nina is so close to niña, meaning "little girl" and ette is a suffix that means "little", the name seems like it has a very small meaning to me, and I worry if the name would grow well. Because a name with a very small meaning is fine for a baby, but not so much for an adult.
Is someone actually going to give their kid a name that warrants the nickname Ninny?
