Östen is used in Sweden, the older version found on runes is Aysain. My book says it is a combination of words meaning happiness and stone, so I'm not sure of the relationship between the names. [noted -ed]
This name means "Øy" = Island, and "Stein" = Rock, in Norwegian. Also, Island Rock.
