My first thought was Oakland as well. Not a fan.
It makes me think of Oakland, especially that "LA face with the Oakland booty" line from Sir Mix-a-Lot's Baby Got Back. Definitely not something I'd want to call a kid.
Doesn't even sound like a real name.
Completely stale.
Oaklyn is nice name. I do prefer Oakley, but this name is good too. I can see it for a boy, not just a girl. Evelyn was once a male given name, so why not Oaklyn? Sure it's trendy, but there isn't anything wrong with a trendy name! If you like this name, give it to your child. You don't have to agree with my opinion though. :)
It just looks like a combination of the word “oak”, the *trendeigh* suffix “-Lyn”. Why not just give your child a nice, classic name like Elizabeth or Victoria? ~ my opinion~
Oaklyn is very trendy at the moment and it is a made up name. I don’t understand why people name their babies this. People are also starting to use this as a boy’s name as well. Oakley is a better name. This name reminds me of oat milk.
A name a young child would name their barbie or toy. Too childish.
Ugly.
Way too cutsey/trendy.
Surprised this is on the lowest rated names list considering how popular it's getting these days. Anyway, Oakley is cute, not too fond of Oaklyn; I like it with 2 n's though I don't like it that much anyway. Sounds like a name a younger mother would give.
Not a fan. Would the nickname be Oak?
I prefer Oaklynn. The singular n looks off.
Ugg, just ugly. I'm sorry, I don't see the appeal!
I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this nameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
It's cute! It's unusual and rare, but it's reallllly cute!
Yikes!
Bad.
Ugly.
Not the worst, but bad for sure. Also, this is a unisex name.
