Hello my name is Peyton and I think this name works for a boy and a girl but I am a girl and I don’t see why people hate this name just because of a certain individual your name does not have an effect on your personality.
If someone's name was Bobby and you met a spoiled kid who’s name is Bobby you can’t just hate the person because of it. But personally I love my name so much and I’m so lucky to have it but it can get really annoying when people pronounce it wrong. Some of my teachers pronounce it Pey-en or people say pey-ton but it is firmly pronounced pey-tin even though it is spelled PEYTON the letter O is pronounced as an I.
It's too easy for names that end in "ton" or "tin"--Peyton, Sutton, Martin--to be pronounced lazily--Pay'n instead of PayTON. That would always bug me if this was my name.
