It’s a very lovely name. I can imagine it on a young girl or an old woman and everywhere in between. It sounds mysterious and beautiful, long yet simple, and cute yet mature. Some nicknames could be Philly, Lolo or Lulu (depending on the spelling I guess) and Mena. It’s a shame that this name has fallen out of use for the most part, I hope that with vintage names being favorable for some people that this name rises up again.

This is my mothers name. She doesn't like it much, therefor I guess it's put me off it. Thankfully names are not carried on down the way they used to be years ago so I've avoided passing it onto my children! It is normally a nun's name I would have thought!
