In France, Prudence can be the masculine form of Prudentius. I think they also use it on females there (making it a unisex name in France), but about that I am not quite certain. The French also have the form Prudent (which is exclusively used for males), but it seems to be a bit rarer in use than Prudence.A known bearer of the name in France is the French saint Prudentius of Troyes (who in French is called Prudence de Troyes).
