This is my daughter's name.
Why is there nothing included regarding Selene, the goddess of the moon?"In ancient Greek mythology and religion, Selene (/sɪˈliːniː/; Greek: Σελήνη pronounced [selɛ̌ːnɛː], meaning "Moon"[2]) is the personification of the Moon. Also known as Mene, she is traditionally the daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia, and sister of the sun god Helios and the dawn goddess Eos. She drives her moon chariot across the heavens. Several lovers are attributed to her in various myths, including Zeus, Pan, and the mortal Endymion. In post-classical times, Selene was often identified with Artemis, much as her brother, Helios, was identified with Apollo.[3] Selene and Artemis were also associated with Hecate and all three were regarded as moon and lunar goddesses, but only Selene was regarded as the personification of the Moon itself. Her Roman equivalent is Luna.[4]"Full article here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selene
Selena and Celina are two completely different names. Selena is derived from Ancient Greek and it means moon. However, Celina is derived from Latin and it means celestial or heavenly.
Possibly related to the Slavic word for green.
This is my name, it is Greek not Spanish or Russian. I know a lot of people think of it as a Mexican name because of the famous Tejano singer, but it's not. If anything, it was odd for her to have a first name that was not Spanish or Mexican.
