Since it's from Latin, the "common" pronunciation is wrong. The correct one is pretty strong - Sèrèna. The "e" is pronounced without the English inflection.
In my French class, the teacher pronounced it "Say-ray-na" (which I guess would be how you pronounce it in France).
Can be pronounced one of three ways (maybe more): s[]-RAYN-n[], s[]-REN-n[], or s[]-REEN-[].
In Spanish speaking countries this is pronounced 'Serenna' My oldest daughter is called Serena, we use the English pronunciation most of the time. It is a pretty name and not heard that often.
The Italian pronunciation is say-RRAY-nah.
Pronounced "seh-reh-nah".
I've heard this name pronounced as seh-REN-uh.
It can also be pronounced se-ren-uh.
