Uriel as an archangel is puzzling: There are only thought to be 3 (many biblical sources) and they are known: Gabriel (messenger), Raphael (healer) and Michael (warrior). So as Uriel has few biblical references and those put him in a messenger role (warns Noah of the flood) I wonder if there is a case for saying 'Uriel' may be another name for Gabriel? Or are there more Archangels or sub types of archangels?
Related name: Uriah.
Uriel is one of the four archangels along with Gabriel, Raphael, and Michael.
Uriel isn't an archangel according to the Roman Catholic Church, only Gabriel, Michael, and Raphael are. Still, I consider him an archangel as many others do. (I'm not Catholic nor do I let them tell me what to think.) He's my guardian angel, maybe yours too if you're a Libra. Anyway, he's the "eyes of God" and is the angel of wisdom and the arts.
