Meaning: From the name of the city in Austria, derived from Roman Vindobona, from Celtic vindo “white” and bona “foundation, fort”. The “white” might be a reference to the river flowing through it. This name was borne by Vienna da Fuscaldo, mother of Saint Francis of Paola.
