I know someone named Washington. It's a great first name for him. As a joke, some people call him George for a nickname. Most people call him Washington, though, and it is professional at work. He might use another name in his private life, I don't know. I like this name, but it is not on my short list. I would not like to name someone after George Washington, although the state is very beautiful. I would rather use other names personally, but I like Washington if other people use it. It's handsome, responsible, respected, wearable, and I think it is down-to-earth.
This name is pretentious, and I despise George Washington, so...bad name choice!
Will this name be popular again in modern times?
This is ridiculous as a forename!
It would be pretty hard to use this, since it's a state, and also the capital of my country. Personally, I think George would be a little better if you wanted to honor the father of our country.
This name is way too surname-y and makes me think of the state or Washington DC.
The name sounds both tacky and pretentious, which is an uncommon and interesting combination. Washington DC comes to mind immediately, and the name is very surname-y anyway.
Even though this is more of a last name, I like it right now and may give a future son this name as a middle name.
