My grandfather's family's name is BEN ZENO (means Son of ZENO). We are a Jewish family living for centuries in Meknes (Morocco). My research for establishing my mother's family tree brought me to this site.
This was my husband's grandfather's name. He is from Mexico, so it is pronounced Say-Non (long o). If I have a boy, he will be named Zenon.
Zenon is also in use in Georgia, but it is rare there. In Georgian, Zenon is written as: ზენონ.
Zenon is also the modern form of Zeno/Zenon in the following countries:- Bulgaria, where it is spelled as Зенон
- Croatia, where it is spelled the same as in Poland
- Russia, where it is spelled as Зенон
- Serbia, where it is spelled as Зенон
- Ukraine, where it is spelled as Зенон.
