Meaning & History
The first element of this name is derived from Slavic lut "fierce, severe, cruel, wild" and is etymologically related to Luty, the Polish name for the month of February (which is so named because of the fierce cold and frost during that time of year). The second element is derived from Slavic mir "peace". This name is not to be confused with the similar-looking LUDOMIR.
