Belarusian form of Bartholomaios (see BARTHOLOMEW). This form is rare and might even be archaic; VARFALAMIEJ is the form most commonly used today.

In Belarusian literature, this name is borne by Dr. Baŭtramiej Liodnik, one of the main characters of Avantury Pranciša Vyrviča ("Adventures of Pranciš Vyrvič"), a series of novels written by the Belarusian author Liudmila Rublieŭskaja (b. 1965). A film based on the novels was made in 2019 and bears the same title.
