Means "chapel" in Spanish, taken from the Spanish titles of the Virgin Mary, La Santísima Virgen de la Capilla and Nuestra Señora de la Capilla, meaning "The Most Holy Virgin of the Chapel" and "Our Lady of the Chapel" respectively. It is venerated in Jaén in Andalucia, hence the heavy concentration of this name in that city and province of Andalucia.
