When I first started commenting here, I was shocked by the sheer number of people who judge foreign names based only on how they would sound to an English-speaking person. You would encounter several commenters who would say, "I don't like Aislinn, try Ashley!" or something stupid and prejudiced like that. Bahar is a very popular name in Turkey and Azerbaijan, where it means 'springtime'.
