Aside from its true origin, some Spanish speakers might perceive this name as a combination of Isabel and Laura.
Hey, my name is also Isaura! Although I don’t really like my name lol. It’s hard to pronounce for non Spanish speakers. But hey, my name is unique!
Hiii same person who originally commented. I love my name now! It’s unique and while it’s hard to pronounce for those who are not Spanish speakers, it’s still a cool name and I’m proud of my name. All Isauras are swag btw.

Hi everyone, I'm Isaura. When I was a child I always hated my name because since I'm Italian, no one knew how to pronounce it, but now I really appreciate it since it's really unique. I want to become a dancer and/or a singer in the future and I hope people will find my name pretty unique.
Beautiful.
Another Isaura here! As a child I just wanted a ‘normal’ name but... as an adult, I love having a unique name. My mother and great Aunt are who I share my name with and the older I get, the more I appreciate it and fondly remember the 3 Isa’s being together. But, shhh... don’t tell too many people! Lol.
My name is Isaura! I’m Spanish. I added two a’s to my user name because.. I can. Sometimes I don’t really like my name because it’s unusual but sometimes I like it because of that. I usually don’t like it because people don’t know how to say my name, and do it on purpose. I get it, you’re not Spanish but you don’t have to say my name 100 billion times wrong. “Hey E-Soda” some people say. ”REEEEEEE” Isaura goes into battle mode.
May as well name your child Dinosaur.
I personally think Isaura is a pretty name that definetely deserves more attention. A nice nickname would be Isis (ee-sees).

Izora is likely an English variant of Isaura. Izora was the 517th most popular name for girls born in the United States in 1880. A famous bearer was Izora Armstead (1942–2004), who was half of the '80s American pop group The Weather Girls, best known for their single "It's Raining Men".
I believe the Spanish pronunciation is ee-SOW-rah.I think it could easily work as an English name, like Lydia, which has similar origins. An English-speaker would probably pronounce it i-ZAWR-ə or ie-ZAWR-ə. [noted -ed]
