Lulu'anaqidu (Clusters-of-Pearl) was the son of the Sultan of the Jann in an Iraqi fairy tale similar to 'East o' the Sun and West o' the Moon'. Ref. Stevens. Folktales of Iraq. Pp. 20-26.
I like how this version of Lulu gives a meaning to something that may seem otherwise like just a nickname. And to the people saying it sounds only like a nickname, different cultures have different standards.
I’m sorry, but “Lulu” sounds like a three year old’s name. I don’t like it at all. Imagine going to prom and saying, “Wow LuLu you look great in that dress…” Imagine being a teen and people calling you Lulu. Horrendous.
Totally love this name. My name is Lili but sometimes people call me Lulu!
Love it as a nickname but for a first name, it doesn’t age well.
Love it as a nickname! So many names you can use it for! Olivia, Lucy, Lucia. Luciana, Luna and just so many more! Cute Cute CUTE!
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! So stunning, beautiful, elegant this sweet, gentle Arabic name is for a baby girl! I adore it now!
The meaning gives nobility and elegance to this apparently simple name. It's also really euphonic.
This is the most perfect name! For any of you Lulu's out there I would just wish to have your name! It is perfect- sweet and beautiful. It is also a very interesting name as it is uncommon and memorable, unlike a name like Mary.
I love this sweet, pretty, elegant, gentle, feminine Arabic name. :)
